My first opportunity to work at The Tap and Tumbler was through shadowing their open mic's engineer. Two years later I am running the open mic myself, this involved mixing every show and adapting the event to bring in more clientele. To do this I have began booking spotlight musicians who play a 30 minute set in-between the open mic slots. I absolutely love this and really enjoy meeting so many new artists. Working the open mic has given me many new opportunities and has given me some invaluable experiences. In working this i have been able to mix for the likes of Devin Townsend, who nipped in for a secret set after finishing his gig at Rescue Rooms.
