Macmillan Festival has ran in Nottingham for nine years so far, and this year it was my job to assist manage the Stealth Stage for the event. This involved working within a team of three, the manager, myself and the artist liaison, to ensure the smooth running of the stage. I worked alongside the team to ensure that all bands stored their gear in the designated area, and all heath and safety aspects of the movement of gear and placement within busy spaces was upheld. I became one of the two faces for individuals to talk to with regards to sound, lights, and general stage management. I often ran between different stages moving equipment and tracking down items that were moved. It was also my responsibility to ensure that during packing down the equipment, anything that was borrowed was returned to the rightful owners. I had an absolutely fantastic day and look forward to participating again next year.
